Welcome Back To The Label Planet Blog!

We hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year (hopefully your New Year’s Resolution just so happens to be ordering more labels). Here’s a quick update on our current despatch and delivery leadtimes.

We’re working our way through the emails and online orders that we received during our Winter Break. We are prioritising the despatch and delivery of orders (anything placed after 3pm on Friday 21st December).

To find out more about existing orders (placed in 2018) or orders you would like to place now, please consult the despatch and delivery FAQs below. If you can’t find the answer you need, please email our Customer Service Team via info@labelplanet.co.uk and we’ll do our best to respond as quickly as possible.

I Haven’t Received My Order

If your order despatched on or before Friday 21st December, you should have received a confirmation email. If you ordered by phone, our Customer Service Team will have indicated when your order would be despatched.

Small orders (fewer than 200 sheets) despatch via Royal Mail’s first class service. This is NOT a guaranteed next day delivery service and is subject to delays over the Christmas period. Usually, we allow FIVE working days for delivery; we would therefore advise waiting to see if your order is delivered this week. If it does not arrive, please contact our Customer Service Team.

If you upgraded to a guaranteed next day delivery option, your order should have been delivered by now. Please contact our Customer Service Team so that we can investigate further.

Large orders (250+ sheets) despatch via next working day courier – where stock is available. If your order was despatched, it should have arrived by now. If you ordered made to order items (those with a 500 sheet minimum) or if the items you ordered were out of stock, your order will be scheduled for manufacture and despatch this week. We will do our best to process these orders as quickly as possible; if you need your order urgently, please contact our Customer Service Team so that we can confirm the status of your order.

If you have not received an email confirmation from us, then your order is most likely awaiting processing; we are aiming to have all existing orders processed by tomorrow at the very latest.

If you haven’t received ANY emails from us, you may have provided an incorrect email address, our emails may be in your spam folder, or there may have been a problem with your order. Please contact our Customer Service Team for further assistance.

I Haven’t Received A Response To My Email Yet

Our office was closed during our Winter Break and so no members of staff were available to respond to correspondence received during this time. We will do our best to respond to all messages this week.

If I Order Labels From You Today When Will They Be Despatched (& Delivered)?

Despatch and delivery will depend on the specific items and quantities you order (along with stock availability). Where stock is available, the following despatch and delivery items apply.

Small Orders (fewer than 200 sheets): despatch today (up to 4:30pm) via Royal Mail’s first class service. Items MAY arrive tomorrow but can take up to five working days to arrive.

Large Orders (more than 200 sheets): despatch today (up to 3pm) via next working day courier. Delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands is via TWO-working day carrier.

Where stock is NOT available, your items will be made to order and then despatched via next working day courier; this can take up to five working days. If you need your labels urgently, please contact our Customer Service Team so we can advise of the leadtime for your items.

Today is our last day in the office for 2018 and we’ve had a brilliant year – with the Label Planet universe getting a little big bigger and brighter with a huge selection of new label sizes and material combinations added to our range. We’ve got a few new projects up our sleeves that we’re really excited about and hope to introduce to customers in the new year.

For now, we’d like to say a big THANK YOU to all of our wonderful customers who have been busy buying labels, requesting samples, and downloading label templates from us over the last twelve months. Your support has helped us have a really great year – and we hope to see you again in the new year!

We’ll be closing for our usual Christmas break on Friday. Here’s the despatch & delivery information you’ll need if you want to place a last minute order of Christmas labels (for delivery before Christmas.

We will be open all this week until 5pm on Friday 21st December.

Christmas Labels – Stock Availability & Despatch Estimates

Stocked items (25 sheet minimum) are available for same day despatch.

If you order 500+ sheets of a stocked item, same day despatch will rely on stock availability.

Made to order items have a 500 sheet minimum order quantity. Our manufacturing time is currently 5-7 working days, which means that we cannot supply these items before January 2019.

We are able to offer same day despatch on orders placed before 3pm (250-500 sheets) or 4pm (25-225 sheets).

Christmas Labels – Delivery Options

Small orders (25-225 sheets) despatch via Royal Mail’s First Class service.

While Royal Mail AIM to deliver first class items next day, this is not guaranteed and – at this time of year – the service does experience delays. We do NOT recommend relying on standard delivery if you need to receive your order before Christmas.

We offer a special delivery option; this uses Royal Mail’s Special Delivery Guaranteed service, which guarantees delivery by 1pm on the next working day. You can upgrade to this service online or by phone.

Please note that orders to the Republic of Ireland use Royal Mail’s International Standard Service; the last posting date for Christmas Delivery was Tuesday 18th December, which means that these orders will no longer arrive before Christmas.

Large orders (250+ sheets) are despatched via next working day carrier (UK Mainland) or 2 working day carrier (Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands).

Christmas Labels – The Last Posting Dates For 2018

SMALL ORDERS (25-225 sheets) to UK addresses (UK Mainland, Islands with UK Postcodes, and Northern Ireland) via Royal Mail’s First Class service (standard delivery).

Items will arrive (hopefully) between Friday 21st December – Monday 24th December. HOWEVER, this is subject to Royal Mail’s service levels and this service is likely to experience delays.

Please note: we will continue to accept orders up to 5pm on Friday; orders that cannot be despatched before Christmas will be processed and despatched when we re-open on Wednesday 2nd January.

We are officially commencing our countdown to Christmas – and those all important last posting dates that will determine whether or not your Christmas labels will arrive before Christmas.

WHY YOU NEED TO PLAN AHEAD & ORDER CHRISTMAS LABELS EARLY

Many of our customers will already have ordered their Christmas labels – some early birds ordered way back in August! But for those of you that haven’t got around to thinking about Christmas labels yet – here’s why it’s so important to order early.

Christmas labels don’t need to arrive before Christmas.

They need to arrive before you have to despatch your labelled items so that they will arrive at their intended destination before Christmas.

This means that you need to allow time for:

  • Your order to be despatched.
  • Your order to be delivered.
  • A label template to be designed.
  • That label template to be printed onto your Christmas labels.
  • Your labelled items to be despatched to wherever they need to go.
  • Your labelled items to arrive at their destination BEFORE Christmas.

People often underestimate how long it takes for all of these steps to happen – and it’s no fun spending the weeks (and days) before Christmas in an absolute panic. So, order now and avoid a chaotic Christmas (at least in terms of your Christmas labels – we can’t promise that our labels will make the rest of your Christmas any less chaotic!).

DESPATCH & DELIVERY OF CHRISTMAS LABELS FOR 2018!

To guarantee pre-Christmas despatch and delivery and avoid chaos this Christmas, order your Christmas labels NOW!

We despatch small orders (fewer than 250 sheets) by Royal Mail’s first class service. This service will see more delays as Christmas gets closer. We recommend upgrading to our special delivery service, which guarantees delivery by 1pm on the next working day.

Small orders despatch same day, Monday to Friday, up to 4pm.

We despatch larger orders via next working day carrier. We have some special delivery options available (including pre-noon) – please contact our Customer Service Team to find out more and upgrade.

Please note: delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands is via a 2 day carrier service.

Large orders despatch same day, Monday to Friday, up to 3pm – where stock is available.

We send 500 sheet boxes from our warehouse via next working day carrier; if your product has a minimum order quantity of 500 sheets it is NOT a stocked item and will therefore be made to order. This usually takes up to five working days – although standard paper labels often despatch sooner. At this time of year, our manufacturing lead-times increase (usually to 5-7 working days, although some items may move to 7+ working days), so we strongly recommend ordering non-stocked items or larger quantities as early as possible to avoid delay.

We recommend contacting our customer service team to confirm lead-times/stock availability if you need non-stocked items or large quantities.

Don’t Panic – It’s The Label Planet Guide To Finding Out If We’re GDPR Compliant.

It probably hasn’t escaped your notice that today also sees the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation – or, quite mercifully, GDPR for short.

We’ve always made it a priority to safeguard the privacy and security of our customers’ information. We also made it our policy to use marketing emails and letters sparingly, sending just one or two messages per year to let customers know about new products and services.

Most of the requirements of GDPR were therefore already in place at Label Planet. However, in order to comply fully with the new regulations we have had to document and formalise our processes. This included providing our legal basis for processing your information and updating our Privacy Policy accordingly.

We returned from our Easter Break on Monday and we’ve been working hard to despatch all of the orders that came in over the holidays.

We’re now all caught up! As a result, new orders are being processed according to normal despatch and delivery times. Small orders are despatched same day (up to 4:30pm) by Royal Mail’s first class service. Please note that this is NOT a guaranteed next day delivery service because Royal Mail only AIM to deliver first class items next day. Items, therefore, may take up to five working days to arrive.

If you need to meet a deadline, you can choose to upgrade to a next delivery service online or by phone. Our standard next day option guarantees delivery by 1pm on the next working day and we have addditional options for earlier delivery times (e.g. pre-9am) and Saturday delivery. To request these options, you will need to contact our Customer Service Team to discuss your requirements.

Here’s All You Need To Know About Our Despatch & Delivery Information For The Easter Break

As usual, we will be closing down for a short Easter break. We will close at 5pm tomorrow (Thursday 29th March) and will re-open at 9am on Monday 9th April.

Customers can order online during this time but we will not process or despatch orders until we return in April. Customers can also continue to request samples and email us (although we will not be able to respond until we re-open).

Orders, sample requests, and customer enquiries received over the Easter break will be fulfilled as quickly as possible once we return. Orders will be prioritised and, as usual, we will aim to process all orders according to our usual despatch and delivery levels on Monday (9th April).

If you have any queries OR need to contact us about an order placed before or during the Easter break, you can email us during the holidays or contact our Customer Service Team by phone once we re-open. Our office hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, and we will do our best to answer all enquiries as soon as we can.

The World Of Label Planet Has Expanded Once Again!

Brand New Label Sizes & Self Adhesive Labels Are Now Available

Over the last few months, we’ve been working hard to expand our range of self adhesive labels to give our customers even more choice when it comes to picking the perfect label.

We’ve introduced brand new label sizes, new size and material combinations, and we’ve added a variety of self adhesive labels to our stocked sizes and materials – meaning we’ve got an even bigger range of laser labels and inkjet labels available for same day despatch from stock in packs of 25 sheets.

Without further ado, here is a selection of the latest additions to our range of self-adhesive labels…

Coloured Labels & Kraft Labels

We’ve expanded our range of Kraft Labels to match our Coloured Labels and we’ve added two existing label sizes to the stocked section of both ranges – LP1/210 (1 coloured label per sheet measuring 210mm wide by 297mm wide) and LP36/49 (36 coloured labels per sheet measuring 48.8mm wide by 29.6mm high).

So, if you’re looking for sticky labels that offer a fun and decorative finish to any labelling project, now you’ve got even more choice! The LP1/210 label size is also a brilliant option if you want to create your own label sizes and shapes; simply print your designs onto these A4 labels and then cut out the shapes you need.

Gold Labels & Silver Labels

We’ve also expanded our range of metallic labels to include an amazing 44 label sizes in both gold labels and silver labels. Both ranges also feature 9 of our most popular label sizes as stocked items – including 6 rectangular labels and 3 round labels.

Gold labels and silver labels are a brilliant way to add a touch of luxury to items and are especially popular for use as gift labels, product labels, or address labels for extra special occasions!

Paper Labels

All of our special paper labels now include LP10/99 as a stocked label size; this particular label size features 10 self adhesive labels per sheet – each measuring 99.1mm wide by 57mm wide – and is compatible with a range of Avery labels (including J8173*, L7173*, L7973*, and L7992*).

This label size is really versatile and can be used for all sorts of label applications, including address labels, bottle labels, jar labels, and product labels.

Opaque Labels

We have supplied opaque labels (also known as blockout labels) for a few years but never carried these permanent labels as stocked items – until now! We’ve created a stocked section for this label range, which includes 12 self adhesive label sizes available for same day despatch from stock in packs of 25 sheets.

Opaque labels are a quick and easy way to cover up out of date or incorrect information on pre-printed materials (including leaflets and packaging) or to reuse / recycle old packaging by replacing existing print or sticky labels with new designs and/or information.

New Label Sizes

Finally, we’ve also added 10 brand new label sizes to all of our ranges – which means that all 30 of our self adhesive label materials and adhesives are now available in 10 additional label sizes! Our brand new label sizes are:

  • LP2/105: 2 blank labels per sheet, measuring 105mm wide by 297mm high with square cut corners
  • LP4/210: 4 blank labels per sheet, measuring 210mm wide by 74.25mm high with square cut corners
  • LP21/70: 21 blank labels per sheet, measuring 70mm wide by 42.42mm high with square cut corners
  • LP24/72: 24 blank labels per sheet, measuring 72mm wide by 21.15mm high with rounded corners
  • LP27/63: 27 blank labels per sheet, measuring 63.5mm wide by 29.6mm high with rounded corners
  • LP30/70: 30 blank labels per sheet, measuring 70mm wide by 29.7mm high with square cut corners
  • LP189/25: 189 blank labels per sheet, measuring 25.4mm wide by 10mm high with rounded corners
  • LP15/51SQ: 15 square labels per sheet, measuring 51mm by 51mm with rounded corners
  • LP35/37SQ: 35 square labels per sheet, measuring 37mm by 37mm with rounded corners
  • LP70/25SQ: 70 square labels per sheet, measuring 25mm by 25mm with rounded corners

Ordering Self Adhesive Labels From Label Planet

Our website lists our full range of label sizes and material combinations along with current price lists – all of our prices are all-inclusive (including both VAT and standard UK delivery), so you pay what you see (unless you upgrade to a special delivery option).

Stocked items are available in packs of 25 sheets or boxes of 500 sheets. All of our 25 sheet packs are available for same day despatch; orders with a total of fewer than 200 sheets will be sent via Royal Mail’s first class service, while orders of more than 200 sheets will be put on a next working day carrier service.

Non-stocked items have a minimum order quantity of 100 sheets or 500 sheets; standard paper labels will be available for same day despatch from our warehouse, while all other A4 labels take up to five working days for despatch.

We are back in the Label Planet offices (just about!) and we’d like to start by wishing all of our customers a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year with friends and family (and doesn’t it all seem like it was just yesterday…)!

Our computers have been fired up and we’re working our way through all of the orders we received over the Christmas holidays – as well as our emails. We’ll do our best to process as many orders and respond to as many emails as possible; we hope to have everything back up to speed by tomorrow.

If you’ve got any questions or queries about an order that you’ve already placed or an order that you want to place, hopefully these FAQs should answer your enquiry.

Why haven’t I received the self-adhesive labels that I ordered before Christmas?

If you received an email confirmation indicating that your printer labels were despatched before Christmas, then it depends on the quantity of blank labels you ordered (and the shipping service you requested).

Small orders (less than 200 sheets) are despatched by Royal Mail’s first class service as standard; this is NOT a guaranteed service and is liable to experience delays over the Christmas period (and so may still be on the way to you). If your self adhesive labels do not arrive by the end of the week, please get in touch to let us know.

Medium orders (200-475 sheets) are despatched via next working day carrier service as standard and so SHOULD have been delivered and signed for at your chosen delivery address. Please contact our Customer Service Team so that we can check the tracking information for your order.

Large orders (200+ sheets) are despatched via next working day carrier service as standard – where stock is available or once your items have been made. If your A4 labels haven’t arrived then they are most likely scheduled for manufacture and despatch from our warehouse this week. We will do our best to work through these orders as quickly as possible; if you need a firm despatch date then please get in touch with our Customer Service Team who will be able to confirm the status of your order with our warehouse.

If you did NOT receive an email confirming that your A4 labels were being despatched, then it is more than likely that your order is sitting in our “To Do” pile and will be processed today or tomorrow.

If you haven’t received ANY confirmation emails from us (including an initial payment confirmation and order confirmation) then you have either provided us with an incorrect email address, our emails have landed in your spam folder, or there was a problem with your payment. Please contact our Customer Service Team for further assistance.

Why haven’t I received a response to the email/sample request I sent to you over Christmas?

Our office was closed for Christmas so we were not available to respond to any messages sent to us over the holidays (whether via email / Facebook / Twitter / fax / post / voicemail / messenger pigeon etc). We will do our best to work through any and all messages received over Christmas – we prioritise orders before catching up with Christmas correspondence and sample requests, so please bear with us.

If I order A4 labels from you today, when will they be despatched (and delivered)?

SMALL ORDERS (less than 200 sheets): we are aiming to despatch all small orders today or tomorrow via Royal Mail’s first class service (up to 4:30pm). If you upgrade your order to a next day delivery option, we will prioritise your order to ensure it is despatched same day.

MEDIUM ORDERS (200-475 sheets): we are aiming to despatch all medium orders today or tomorrow via next working day carrier service (up to 3pm). Orders for delivery to Northern Ireland (large orders only), Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands are sent via 2 day carrier service.

LARGE ORDERS (500+ sheets): we are currently working through a backlog of orders so our despatch estimates depend on the items you are ordering. Standard paper labels are kept in stock (and have shorter lead times) so these items are likely to be despatched early this week, while other made to order self adhesive labels will be subject to (at least) five working days for despatch. You can contact our Customer Service Team to check on stock availability and/or lead times for the blank labels you wish to buy.

It’s our last day here in the Label Planet office and we’d like to start by saying THANK YOU to all of the customers who have bought self adhesive labels from us over the last twelve months.

We’ve had a simply brilliant year and a large part of that is down to our equally brilliant customers! So thank you – we hope you’ll be back to visit in 2018!
