You may have noticed we list different printer compatibilities for different products - here's why.
Some of our product ranges are listed as being compatible with inkjet printers only, some with laser printers only, and others with both.
This is because some of our materials are designed specifically to suit one of these printing process and not both. This means that if you tried to print on laser labels with an inkjet printer or on inkjet labels with a laser printer, the ink and toner (respectively) would not bond to the material correctly and the print would smudge or rub away.
Broadly speaking, the inkjet printing process uses water-based inks that dry in place, while the laser printing process uses heat and pressure to fuse toner in place and the materials used to make some of our labels are only suited to one of these processes.
So which labels are suitable for which type of printer?
