Have A Very Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year From The Label Planet Team!

December 20th, 2019

The Label Planet office is winding down for Christmas 2019. We wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of the customers who have supported us by buying our labels over the last twelve months.

We have had a brilliant year, introducing even more sizes and material options to give our customers the very best choice of self adhesive labels and we’ve got a few exciting projects in the works that we’ll (hopefully) be able to share with you soon in the new year.

So, whether you’ve bought labels, requested samples, or downloaded label templates from us in 2019 – THANK YOU! We hope to see you again in 2020!

Our offices will close at 5pm this afternoon. We will be processing and despatching orders until 3-4pm. This means there’s still (just about!) time for a last minute label order as follows (dependent on stock availability):

  • 25-200 SHEETS: despatched today up to 4pm, via Royal Mail’s first class service. To receive your order before Christmas, you will need to upgrade to next day delivery.
  • 250-475 SHEETS: despatched today up to 4pm, via next day carrier service.
  • 500 SHEETS (standard paper labels): despatched today up to 3pm, via next day carrier service.
  • 500 SHEETS (made to order items): these items are no longer available for despatch in 2019. We will begin manufacturing made to order items when we re-open in 2020.
Please note: carrier delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, & Channel Islands requires a 2-day carrier service, which means we cannot deliver these orders before Christmas.

We will re-open at 9am on Thursday 2nd January 2020. Any orders placed during our Christmas break will be processed when we re-open. We will do our best to reply to all enquiries we receive during this time as quickly as possible once we return. Until then, we wish you all…

Until then, we wish you all a very…

Happy Christmas to our labels customers from Label Planet

Ordering Christmas Labels This Year? Here Are Our Despatch & Delivery Dates For A Chaos-Free Christmas!

October 30th, 2019

With just 8 weeks to go, we are sounding the Christmas Klaxon with our annual reminder that you should order your Christmas labels as EARLY AS POSSIBLE! Here’s our despatch and delivery advice for Christmas 2019!

Why Do I Need To Order Christmas Labels Now?

Printing Christmas labels takes a LOT longer than you think. Remember, you need time for…

  1. Your order to be despatched AND delivered to you.
  2. Setting up a label template (not always as simple as it should be).
  3. Printing your label template (also not as simple as it should be).
  4. Sticking your labels onto things!
  5. Sending your labelled items off to their next destination.

While we always aim to despatch labels as quickly as possible, there are TWO factors that can slow down the arrival of orders in the lead-up to Christmas.

  1. More people are ordering labels, which means that our manufacturing lead-times get longer. It takes longer to despatch made to order items and stocked items may be temporarily unavailable. Our usual lead-time is up to five working days but this will increase to five working days and then five to seven working days and eventually seven working days.
  2. More items are being delivered, which puts pressure on delivery services. We use Royal Mail’s first class service for small orders (under 200 sheets), which does experience delays as we get closer to Christmas. This is why we strongly recommend upgrading to next day delivery (which will, inevitably, also begin to experience delays in December).

So, if you want to avoid disappointment, order your Christmas labels as soon as possible – and by as soon as possible, we mean now!

What If I Need To Order Christmas Labels Later On?

If, for some reason, you can’t avoid ordering Christmas labels closer to Christmas, here is the despatch and delivery information you’ll need to bear in mind…

SMALL ORDERS OF STOCKED ITEMS (25 sheet packs, up to 250 sheets)

Despatch same day (Mon-Fri, up to 4pm) via Royal Mail’s first class service.

These orders are the most likely to experience DELIVERY DELAYS. Generally, 93% of first class post arrives next day (although it can take up to five working days). As we get closer to Christmas, first class post starts to experience delays (along with a few items getting lost altogether).

We strongly recommend upgrading to next day delivery (which you can do online or by phone). This has an additional shipping charge (which is the fee that Royal Mail charge us), which depends on the total weight of your order BUT this service also guarantees delivery on the next working day.

Orders to the Republic of Ireland are posted by Royal Mail’s International Service, which takes 3-5 working days.

MEDIUM ORDERS OF STOCKED ITEMS (25 sheet packs, 250-475 sheets)

Despatch same day (Mon-Fri, up to 3pm) via next working day carrier.

These orders may experience a SHORT DESPATCH DELAY if a particular item goes temporarily out of stock. Our carrier service guarantees anytime next working day delivery – for a guaranteed delivery time, you will need to contact our Customer Service Team to upgrade.

Delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands is via a 2 day carrier service.

LARGE ORDERS OF STOCKED ITEMS & MADE TO ORDER ITEMS (500 sheet boxes)

Delivered via next working day carrier once stock is available. Despatch CURRENTLY takes up to five working days, with standard paper labels being despatched much sooner – lead-times will increase in the run-up to Christmas.

These orders are most likely to experience DESPATCH DELAYS, as our manufacturing lead-times increase from UP TO five working days, to five working days, then five to seven working days, and eventually seven working days. If you need a lot of labels, our only recommendation is to order as soon as you possibly can.

Delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands is via a 2 day carrier service.

You can contact our customer service team to confirm lead-times and stock availability if you need to order large quantities or made to order items.

Okay, Well What If I Need Last Minute Christmas Labels?

If you absolutely positively can’t avoid ordering Christmas labels at the very last minute, here are our last posting dates for Christmas delivery 2019.

PLEASE NOTE: these dates are a GUIDE ONLY – they are dependent on stock availability and do NOT guarantee delivery before Christmas.

A Guide To Ordering Self-Adhesive Labels From Label Planet

January 9th, 2019

At Label Planet, we aim to make it as simple as possible to order the self adhesive labels you need as quickly as possible. You can order online, by phone, email, post, or fax.

order self adhesive labels from label planet

How To Order Self Adhesive Labels Online

Get started on our home page at www.labelplanet.co.uk. Find the adhesive labels you want using our Label Finder, Alphabetical List, Search By links, or enter the product code into the product search bar.

All of our label codes begin with LP – so you know they’re from Label Planet. Each product has its own product page and each product page is listed on a range page. View all of our range pages on our List Of All Labels page.

On the product page, select the quantity you need and add your items to the basket. To order coloured labels or fluorescent labels, you will also need to select a colour.

Checkout and provide a billing address, delivery address (if different from your billing address), and contact details. Please note, if you are paying with a credit/debit card, your billing address MUST match your registered card address.

If you are ordering fewer than 250 sheets you can now upgrade to special delivery, which guarantees next day delivery.

Finally, make a payment; pay using a debit/credit card or a PayPal account. Once you have confirmed your payment details, you must confirm your order details to complete the checkout process.

You should now receive two emails; one confirms we have successfully received your order and the other is from one of our payment gateway providers (SagePay and PayPal) to confirm your payment was successful.

As soon as we process your order for despatch (or manufacture and despatch *), you will receive a third confirmation email.

* Stocked items have a minimum order quantity of 25 sheets. Made to order items have a minimum order quantity of 500 sheets; items are made on a rotational schedule and so take up to five working days for despatch. Standard paper labels tend to despatch much sooner.

How To Order Self Adhesive Labels By Phone

Our Customer Service Team is on hand to take orders by phone Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Let us know the products and quantities you wish to order, along with your delivery information. We can accept payment by debit or credit card. If you do not have access to a payment card, you can request a Proforma Invoice against which you (or your Finance Department) can make payment by credit/debit card, BACS transfer, or cheque.

Please note: we do not offer credit accounts. We operate on a payment with order basis and will not despatch goods until payment has been made (or you provide proof that a BACS transfer has been scheduled). The one exception is Local Education Authority schools, see below.

How To Order Self Adhesive Labels By Email/Fax

You can order by email – and, yes, even by fax. Send an Official Purchase Order (or the details of your order and your delivery information) to us by email or by fax and we’ll send you a Proforma Invoice against which you can make payment by credit/debit card, BACS transfer, or cheque. As noted above, we will not despatch your order until we have received payment.

If you are a Local Education Authority school, you may request a School Invoice; this gives you 30 days for payment. You must send us an official School Purchase Order OR your order details on official school letterhead, signed by the individual responsible for making payment.

How To Order Self Adhesive Labels By Post

Yes, we do accept orders by post. Send us an official purchase order or pop your order (and delivery) details into a note and post it to us – along with a cheque or postal order for payment – at Label Planet, Unit 2 Alvaston Business Park, Middlewich Road, Nantwich, Cheshire, CW5 6PF. Cheques should be made payable to “Label Planet Ltd”.

Please note that you will need to leave plenty of time for your order to arrive with us and for us to despatch your order back to you.

Happy New Year From Label Planet (Featuring A Quick Despatch And Delivery Update)

January 2nd, 2019

Welcome Back To The Label Planet Blog!

We hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year (hopefully your New Year’s Resolution just so happens to be ordering more labels). Here’s a quick update on our current despatch and delivery leadtimes.

We’re working our way through the emails and online orders that we received during our Winter Break. We are prioritising the despatch and delivery of orders (anything placed after 3pm on Friday 21st December).

To find out more about existing orders (placed in 2018) or orders you would like to place now, please consult the despatch and delivery FAQs below. If you can’t find the answer you need, please email our Customer Service Team via info@labelplanet.co.uk and we’ll do our best to respond as quickly as possible.

despatch and delivery

I Haven’t Received My Order

If your order despatched on or before Friday 21st December, you should have received a confirmation email. If you ordered by phone, our Customer Service Team will have indicated when your order would be despatched.

Small orders (fewer than 200 sheets) despatch via Royal Mail’s first class service. This is NOT a guaranteed next day delivery service and is subject to delays over the Christmas period. Usually, we allow FIVE working days for delivery; we would therefore advise waiting to see if your order is delivered this week. If it does not arrive, please contact our Customer Service Team.

If you upgraded to a guaranteed next day delivery option, your order should have been delivered by now. Please contact our Customer Service Team so that we can investigate further.

Large orders (250+ sheets) despatch via next working day courier – where stock is available. If your order was despatched, it should have arrived by now. If you ordered made to order items (those with a 500 sheet minimum) or if the items you ordered were out of stock, your order will be scheduled for manufacture and despatch this week. We will do our best to process these orders as quickly as possible; if you need your order urgently, please contact our Customer Service Team so that we can confirm the status of your order.

If you have not received an email confirmation from us, then your order is most likely awaiting processing; we are aiming to have all existing orders processed by tomorrow at the very latest.

If you haven’t received ANY emails from us, you may have provided an incorrect email address, our emails may be in your spam folder, or there may have been a problem with your order. Please contact our Customer Service Team for further assistance.

I Haven’t Received A Response To My Email Yet

Our office was closed during our Winter Break and so no members of staff were available to respond to correspondence received during this time. We will do our best to respond to all messages this week.

If I Order Labels From You Today When Will They Be Despatched (& Delivered)?

Despatch and delivery will depend on the specific items and quantities you order (along with stock availability). Where stock is available, the following despatch and delivery items apply.

Small Orders (fewer than 200 sheets): despatch today (up to 4:30pm) via Royal Mail’s first class service. Items MAY arrive tomorrow but can take up to five working days to arrive.

Large Orders (more than 200 sheets): despatch today (up to 3pm) via next working day courier. Delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands is via TWO-working day carrier.

Where stock is NOT available, your items will be made to order and then despatched via next working day courier; this can take up to five working days. If you need your labels urgently, please contact our Customer Service Team so we can advise of the leadtime for your items.

What To Do If You Have Questions Not Answered By The FAQs Listed Here

If you have a question about despatch and delivery that we’ve not answered here – about an order you’ve already placed or an order that you are about to placed – please get in touch with our Customer Service Team. You can send an email to info@labelplanet.co.uk or give us a call on 01270 668076. Our office hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. It’s Your Last Chance To Order Christmas Labels For Delivery Before Christmas!

December 19th, 2018

We’ll be closing for our usual Christmas break on Friday. Here’s the despatch & delivery information you’ll need if you want to place a last minute order of Christmas labels (for delivery before Christmas.

Despatch and delivery of Christmas labels

Christmas Labels – Opening Hours & Contact Information

We will be open all this week until 5pm on Friday 21st December.

Our office hours are 9am to 5pm and you can contact our Customer Service Team by email (info@labelplanet.co.uk) or phone (01270 668076).

Christmas Labels – Stock Availability & Despatch Estimates

Stocked items (25 sheet minimum) are available for same day despatch.

If you order 500+ sheets of a stocked item, same day despatch will rely on stock availability.

Made to order items have a 500 sheet minimum order quantity. Our manufacturing time is currently 5-7 working days, which means that we cannot supply these items before January 2019.

We are able to offer same day despatch on orders placed before 3pm (250-500 sheets) or 4pm (25-225 sheets).

Christmas Labels – Delivery Options

Small orders (25-225 sheets) despatch via Royal Mail’s First Class service.

While Royal Mail AIM to deliver first class items next day, this is not guaranteed and – at this time of year – the service does experience delays. We do NOT recommend relying on standard delivery if you need to receive your order before Christmas.

We offer a special delivery option; this uses Royal Mail’s Special Delivery Guaranteed service, which guarantees delivery by 1pm on the next working day. You can upgrade to this service online or by phone.

Please note that orders to the Republic of Ireland use Royal Mail’s International Standard Service; the last posting date for Christmas Delivery was Tuesday 18th December, which means that these orders will no longer arrive before Christmas.

Large orders (250+ sheets) are despatched via next working day carrier (UK Mainland) or 2 working day carrier (Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands).

Christmas Labels – The Last Posting Dates For 2018

Here are the absolute last posting dates for 2018;

SMALL ORDERS (25-225 sheets) to UK addresses (UK Mainland, Islands with UK Postcodes, and Northern Ireland) via Royal Mail’s First Class service (standard delivery).

Items will arrive (hopefully) between Friday 21st December – Monday 24th December. HOWEVER, this is subject to Royal Mail’s service levels and this service is likely to experience delays.

Friday 21st December: last posting date for…

LARGE ORDERS (250+ sheets) to UK Mainland via Next Day Carrier (standard delivery).

Items will arrive on Monday 24th December. Only stocked items will be available for despatch.

If you need to double check that your item will arrive before Christmas – please get in touch with us. If you need to order 500+ sheets, please contact our customer service team BEFORE placing your order so that we can verify if stock is available for Christmas delivery.

Please note: we will continue to accept orders up to 5pm on Friday; orders that cannot be despatched before Christmas will be processed and despatched when we re-open on Wednesday 2nd January.

Seasonal Tips & Tricks To Get Your Christmas Labels Sorted

December 12th, 2018

There are all sorts of ways that sticky labels can help you to get organised at Christmas, including address labels and gift tags for all your Christmas presents and post. To help you keep the chaos of Christmas under wraps, here are Label Planet’s top tips to get your seasonal sticky labels in shape.

Use Coloured Labels For Instant Decoration And Use Transparent Labels For Decorative Packaging

Before you start thinking about incredibly complex designs, why not consider a simpler way to make your Christmas labels merry and bright – by using coloured labels to create an instant decorative background for your designs.

We supply a variety of coloured labels, from seven subtle pastels to five fierce fluorescents, by way of two luxurious metallics (gold and silver – perfectly suited to the season), and a ribbed brown Kraft paper, which instantly adds a natural colouring along with a touch of pattern and texture.

If, on the other hand, you’re sticking Christmas labels onto decorative packaging (for example, product labels on gift items or address labels on decorative envelopes), you may want to avoid covering up your festive designs. In this case, try using transparent labels. These allow you to add your text and/or designs without covering up the designs beneath.

Personalise Your Sticky Labels But Keep Your Design Simple

Sticky labels are a brilliant (and quick) way to personalise all kinds of items. There are so many ways to create festive designs, including festive fonts, images, photographs, borders, and backgrounds. But remember, it’s best to keep things simple.

Using every single possible design element just because you can is never a good idea. You’ll end up with a messy, cluttered design, which might prevent your sticky labels from actually doing their job (for example, displaying delivery information on address labels or product information on product labels). Instead, a clean, simple design is best – and it’ll be much quicker to design and print.

Make sure you keep your design to within the capabilities of your software AND your own design experience. That way, you’ll be able to design and print a label template in no time at all – leaving you free to get on with other Christmas preparations.

Get Your Christmas List Under Control & Use A Mail Merge To Print A Perfect Set Of Address Labels

Many people decide to print their own address labels because it’s a brilliant and quick way to create a decorative and professional-looking set of labels that are truly unique.

A mail merge combines a template with an address list to create one address label for each recipient. All you have to do is add your design, connect your address list, and the mail merge does the work for you.

Word includes a Step By Step Mail Merge Wizard to guide you through the SIX (yes just six) steps involved to help you create a perfect set of address labels. You’ll also find plenty of tips and tricks to help you out on our Labels Blog and our Label Templates Blog.

Keep Your Design In Shape To Make It Simple To Design & Print Your Own Christmas Labels

When creating Christmas designs, it’s easy to go overboard and make things overly complicated. Customers often choose more unusual designs and label shapes – round labels and oval labels are popular choices for seasonal stickers.  These factors can make it harder to design and print your Christmas labels accurately.

Most difficulties, however, can be avoided by a) keeping things simple and b) following these top tips:

  • Centralise your design so it expands from the centre of each label. This helps improve the accuracy of alignment when you print your template.
  • Take care with backgrounds and borders; if your design reaches the edges of your sticky labels, any misalignment becomes much more obvious. Most printers have limited accuracy (within a few millimetres), which makes it difficult to align every design perfectly. This often results in white edging; when a design doesn’t quite line up, portions of a label edge may be left unprinted. If there are gaps all the way around your labels you can oversize your background and/or border. This allows your design to bleed over (overlap) the edges of your labels. We supply Bleed Label Templates, where possible, which show the bleed area available around each label.

If you don’t have gaps to use as a bleed area, you can only oversize monochrome backgrounds and/or borders. Any inconsistency in colour will clearly indicate that your design has bled over onto an adjacent label.

The alternative is to amend your design; removing or restricting your background and/or border so it doesn’t reach the edges of your sticky labels.

  • Add your design to the top left label and use copy and paste to complete your label template. This is much faster AND more accurate – because every design is the same.

Order Your Christmas Labels From Label Planet Today

You can order online or by phone; check out our List Of All Materials to see all of the different options we supply. Visit our Help Pages for tips and advice on designing and printing your own labels; this section includes a link to our Templates Home Page, where you can download Word and PDF templates free of charge.

As Christmas approaches, despatch and delivery times get longer, so it’s best to order as soon as you can.

Small orders (fewer than 250 sheets) will be despatched same day from stock (up to 4pm) – where stock is available. Choose between free standard delivery (Royal Mail’s first class service) and special delivery. There is an additional fee for special delivery but this is the only way to guarantee next day delivery.

Large orders will be despatched via next working day carrier (two-day carrier for Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands) – once stock is available. Made to order items currently take 5-7 working days for despatch.

Get Your Christmas List Organised With Address Labels & Mail Merge

December 5th, 2018

Yup, it’s Label Planet’s annual Christmas mail merge post; whether you’re a pro or a beginner, here’s how to use a mail merge to print a perfect set of Christmas address labels.

Christmas labels using Word Mail Merge

Christmas Address Labels – The Items You Need To Get Started

To perform a Mail Merge you will need:

  • A4 sheets of sticky labels.
  • A saved label template, compatible Avery template code, or layout and measurement information.
  • A saved list of addresses.

A compatible Avery template is one that has the same label size and layout as your A4 labels. If a label size has any compatible Avery codes, we will list them on the relevant product pages, product packaging, and template information pages.

Using a built-in template is simplest; if you can’t find a compatible code because Avery don’t supply your label size, you will need to save a suitable template to your device OR have detailed layout and measurement information for your label size to hand. We supply label templates AND measurements for all of our label sizes; visit our Label Templates home page and select your label shape and label size.

Your list of addresses should be saved in an Excel Spreadsheet, Outlook Contact List, Office Address List, Word Data File, Access Database, or Text File.

Christmas Address Labels – The Mail Merge Process

We recommend using the Mail Merge Wizard. Select the Mailing tab, click on Start Mail Merge, and select Step By Step Mail Merge Wizard. This opens a Mail Merge Panel on the right hand side of your screen, which guides you through these SIX STEPS:

ONE: Select Document Type – select labels.

TWO: Select Starting Document – select your template.

You have three options: select “Change Document Layout” and “Label Options” to use a built in Avery template (set Label Vendor to Avery A4/A5 and select your code) OR create your own label template (click on New Label and fill in the measurements). Alternatively, select “Start From Existing Document” to open a saved label template.

THREE: Select Recipients – select your list of addresses.

This adds the Next Record rule placeholder to all of your blank labels (except the first one). If you are using a saved label template, you must add these placeholders yourself using the “Rules” tool in the Mailings tab.

FOUR: Arrange Your Labels – add your design (including placeholders for information from your address list).

You can add placeholders individually (use the “More items” option) or use preformatted options, such as Address Block. Add your design (and placeholders) in the first label before using the “Update all labels” button to complete your template. This button is not available if you are using a saved template so you will need to copy and paste your design into the remaining labels.

FIVE: Preview Your Labels – check that your information and design fit together on each label.

SIX: Complete The Merge – finish the merge and print your address labels.

ALWAYS TEST PRINT ONE SHEET FIRST BEFORE PRINTING YOUR WHOLE LIST OF ADDRESSES.

You must use the media bypass tray (if your printer has one) and check your printer is using the correct settings.

Christmas Address Labels – Top Tips

For a chaos-free Christmas mail merge, we recommend following these top tips:

  • Use a built-in label template or create a label template if you can because this allows you to take advantage of several automated tools that are not available if you use a saved copy of a label template.
  • Keep your design simple and try to avoid elements that will complicate the printing process (such as multicoloured backgrounds and/or coloured borders around the edges of each label).
  • Remember that your address information will take up a lot more space on your address labels that the placeholders used to represent them.
  • Remember that some addresses are longer than others; make a note of the longest address in your list and make sure that you check how this address appears when you preview your address labels in step five.
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY TEST PRINT THE FIRST SHEET BEFORE PRINTING ALL YOUR ADDRESS LABELS.

Use the “From” option under Print to select enough addresses to fill one sheet of blank labels.

Christmas Address Labels – Troubleshooting Tips

If things start to go wrong, try these troubleshooting tips to avoid a label template nightmare before Christmas:

  • Can’t Find Your Avery Code: “Printer information” must be set to Page printers and “Label Vendor” to Avery A4/A5. If your Avery code is a Zweckform code, set Vendor to Avery Zweckform. If your code isn’t listed, it may refer to a discontinued product. Check for an alternative compatible Avery code.
  • Two (Or More) Labels Show The SAME Address Information: the Next Record rule must be in EVERY label EXCEPT the first one. It must come BEFORE any other placeholder in your design. Remember, if you use a saved template you need to add this rule yourself.
  • Address Block Doesn’t Show Full Addresses: Word might not have matched sections from your address list to the address block properly. The Match Fields tool allows you to indicate where each part of the address block is stored in your address list.
  • Some Addresses Don’t Fit: some addresses are longer than others. You can either adjust your deign to accommodate the longest address in your list OR edit the longer addresses to make them fit.
  • Your Address Labels Are Misaligned: there are TWO common patterns of misalignment, which you can fix as follows:

Misaligned in the SAME direction by the SAME amount: adjust the page margins of your template to correct the alignment. Click on the Layout tab, select Margins, and choose “Custom Margins”. Increase/decrease the top page margin to move your designs down/up and increase/decrease the left page margin to move them right/left.

Misalignment gets worse down/across/out from the centre: usually caused by printer settings. Check that the page size is A4, no scaling options are applied (i.e. less than 100% or “Fit to…” options), and that no options such as “Ignore Printer Settings” or “Use Default/Driver Settings” are applied. Run your device’s main software update tool to check you have the latest printer driver installed. You should also use your printer’s media bypass tray (if it has one).

If this doesn’t help, there may be a problem with your template; check that the size and layout measurements are correct.

Order Christmas Address Labels From Label Planet NOW For Pre-Christmas Despatch & Delivery

You should order Christmas address labels early because you need to leave enough time for:

  • Despatch and delivery of your order.
  • Designing and printing your address labels.
  • Sticking your address labels onto your post.
  • Posting items for delivery before Christmas.

Stocked items (those with a minimum order quantity of 25 sheets) are available for same day despatch from stock in packs of 25 sheets. Quantities of 500+ sheets of stocked items are made to order, although some paper items are stocked for same day despatch. Items with a minimum order quantity of 500 sheets are unstocked and made to order. Despatch is likely to take five working days because of the increasing demand for Christmas labels.

Small orders (fewer than 250 sheets) despatch by Royal Mail’s first class service; we recommend upgrading to our special delivery service (delivery by 1pm on the next working day) if you have a deadline to meet.

Large orders (250+ sheets) despatch by next working day carrier (once stock is available). Delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands is via 2-working day carrier.

Despatch & Delivery Of Christmas Labels For December 2018

We will despatch orders (where stock is available) until Friday 21st December when we close for our Christmas Break.

Despatch and delivery times depend on the specific products and quantities you order, whether an item is stocked or made to order, and stock availability.

  • STOCKED ITEMS: 25 sheet packs available for same day despatch from stock (where available). Orders for 500+ sheets are sent from our warehouse; if stock is unavailable, your labels will be made to order.
  • UNSTOCKED ITEMS: these items have a minimum order quantity of 500 sheets and are made to order. They usually take up to five working days for despatch; around Christmas, it takes the full five working days (eventually shifting to 5-7 working days). Get in touch to check on the current lead-time for the specific products and quantities you wish to order.

Small orders (fewer than 250 sheets) despatch via Royal Mail’s first class service. Around 93% arrives next day but items can take five working days to arrive. As first class mail often experiences delays at Christmas, we recommend upgrading to Special Delivery, which guarantees delivery by 1pm on the next working day. There is an additional charge for this service (this is the amount that Royal Mail charge us); upgrade by phone or online.

If you order on a Friday and want Saturday delivery, you will need to upgrade to Saturday Special Delivery – this service can only be requested by phone.

Large orders (250+ sheets) despatch via next working day carrier as standard. Orders for delivery to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Channel Islands are sent via 2-day working carrier. We have some timed delivery services available; please contact our Customer Service Team to find out more.

Make Your Post Personal & Professional With Address Labels From Label Planet

November 21st, 2018

Address labels are the perfect way to make your post more presentable. Whether you’re looking to add personality or professionality, we’ve got address labels to make your post look perfect!

Address Labels – A Practical & Pretty Addition To All Your Post

While you can use address labels simply to make your post more decorative or professional in appearance, there’s a lot to be said for the practical benefits of printing address labels.

Printing address labels can save you a lot of time – especially if you’ve got a long mailing list. There are plenty of automated tools to speed up the process even further. For example, mail merges are a brilliant tool, whether you’re a business or organisation getting in touch with customers, clients, or supporters or simply an individual who has a very long Christmas card list.

Printing labels is also a lot less strenuous than handwriting your own address labels and you get a perfectly uniform set of labels – brilliant if your handwriting tends to get a bit wonky.

You may worry that printed address labels aren’t as personal as handwritten ones but there are hundreds of ways to personalise address labels to make sure that they are truly unique. Decorative designs, fonts, and photographs can all be included to make your address labels your own.

Printing address labels allows you to combine the practical and the pretty to ensure that your post gets where it needs to go AND lets people know who it’s from – before they even open it! For example, you could include a personal message (or design) or company/organisation details and branding.

Address Labels – Product Options To Suit Every Purpose

Whether you’re trying to make your post more personal or professional, we’ve got the perfect products for you!

If you’re looking for something classic, you can’t go wrong with a white paper label. White labels are easy to read and provide the perfect background for colourful designs and/or photographs. There are three options to choose from:

  • White Labels: our standard paper labels are made with matt white paper and are suitable for inkjet and laser printers. Ideal for basic address labels – and perfect if you’re working a tight budget.
  • Gloss White Labels: for a subtle touch of decoration, our gloss labels are an ideal choice. They have a bright and shiny surface, which makes your information/design stand out against matt envelopes and packaging. We have Gloss Labels For Laser Printers, Semi-Gloss Labels For Laser Printers (for a more subtle degree of shine), and Photo-Quality Gloss Labels – ideal if you want to add photographs or high resolution artwork to your address labels.
  • Premium Paper Labels: if you prefer a matt finish, our premium paper labels are perfect. They are made with a specially coated paper, which is ideal for printing high resolution artwork and photographs. These paper labels can be printed with an inkjet or a laser printer.

Coloured Address Labels

For a super quick and effective way to add a touch of decoration to your post, coloured address labels are the ideal solution. They give you an instantly decorative background for your text and designs, although you may need to make sure that you choose suitable colour schemes to make sure your print remains legible against the coloured background. They’re also a brilliant way to reflect your company/organisation brand colours and are especially popular for special events, both personal and professional in nature. Again, there are three options to choose from:

  • Coloured Labels: our pastel coloured labels are available in seven shades; red labels, orange-red labels, yellow labels, green labels, blue labels, pink labels, and cream labels. You can print them using a laser or inkjet printer.
  • Gold Labels & Silver Labels: our metallic coloured labels are a popular choice for festive items, celebrations, and special events – particularly for seasonal items and for weddings. They have a satin metallic finish and can be printed using a laser printer.
  • Kraft Labels: our brown Kraft labels have a ribbed finish for a subtle touch of pattern and texture. Especially popular for homemade and craft items, these address labels offer a natural finish that is perfect for adding a personal touch to your post.

Transparent Address Labels

Transparent labels are a brilliantly versatile way to create address labels. They are ideal if you have decorative envelopes or packaging; firstly, they avoid the problem of trying to colour match patterning (and brand colours) and they allow you to avoid plastering a less decorative address label over your carefully chosen pattern. They can allow you to add your address information on to items seamlessly – so your envelopes / packaging appear pre-printed with the correct details. We offer three options for transparent labels:

  • GCP: GLOSS transparent labels, suitable for use with inkjet printers only.
  • GTP: GLOSS transparent labels, suitable for use with laser printers only.
  • MTP: MATT transparent labels, suitable for use with laser printers only.
