We've created a treasure trove of resources, which can all be found in our Help section.
At Label Planet, we aim to provide our customers with high quality products AND customer support. As a part of this we offer a free sample request service, free Word templates and PDF templates, and a whole range of advice pages to help guide our customers through the process of designing and printing their own labels – regardless of whether they’re a complete beginner or an expert who needs some advice on how to deal with a particular problem.
Frequently Asked Questions
A brief (ish) list of the questions we get asked most frequently by our customers, including questions about designing and printing labels, about our despatch and delivery service levels, about how to choose the right label for a particular application, about different types of labels, and about placing and making payment for an order of labels from Label Planet (or requesting a refund).
Free Sample Request Service
We know that some of our customers need to make absolutely sure that the labels they buy from us are suitable for the label application they have in mind – and we also know how frustrating it is to buy a product only to find out that it’s either completely unsuitable or simply not what you had in mind – which is why we offer all of our customers the opportunity to request a sample of the label(s) they are interested in so they can “try before they buy”.
Label Material Specification Sheets
These sheets supply more detailed information about our product ranges, including the material and adhesive used to make a product range, the printer compatibility of a particular label, the weight and thickness of each part of the label, and any other key characteristics of that product range.
Label Templates
Our label templates are available through our dedicated Template Section; this section contains a template information page for every label size that we supply and each page lists detailed measurements, and printing advice for that particular size, along with a set of Word templates and PDF templates for customers to use free of charge. All of our templates have been set up and thoroughly tested by us to make sure that they are capable of producing the correct alignment on our label products.
Top Tips (Dos & Don’ts)
This guide contains a quick hit list of tips that can help our customers to avoid the most common problems that arise when designing and printing A4 sheets of self-adhesive labels.
Guide To Designing & Printing Labels
Our basic step by step guide to designing and printing your own label sheets; this guide goes through the THREE main steps of designing and printing labels (starting with “Finding & Opening A Template”, working through “Designing A Template”, and ending with “Setting Up Your Printer”) and includes basic instructions for the process of designing and printing labels along with a few “Extra Tips” to help avoid and overcome potential problems.
Guide To Designing & Printing Round Labels / Oval Labels
This guide aims to act as a companion piece to the first guide by providing extra information and tips about printing round labels and oval labels; the shaping of these labels can make them a little trickier to print accurately and this guide provides help and advice on how to approach these labels to (hopefully) avoid the problems that they can cause.
Guide To Printing Mirrored Text & Images
This guide is aimed at customers who want to print window stickers that can be applied onto one side of a glass surface (such as a window) and read correctly from the other side. This page contains tips on how to create a “mirrored” or “reversed” template that will allow you to create window stickers that can be viewed in this manner.
Troubleshooting Guide
Over the years, we’ve helped hundreds of customers with their labels and label templates, which means that we’ve become very familiar with a variety of problems that crop up time and time again – and in doing so, we’ve picked up a few helpful tips and solutions that can help to resolve these issues. If you’re having problems printing your label template, then taking a look through this guide is definitely a good first step towards figuring out how to resolve what’s going wrong.
Label Planet’s Label Blog / Label Planet’s Template Blog
In addition to our guides, we also run TWO blogs all about labels and label templates; there’s this one (obviously) that features information about our products and our services, along with our Template Tuesdays blog, which features a blog post every Tuesday that takes a closer look at a particular aspect of designing and/or printing a label template.
Glossary Of Label Terms
This extra feature provides a list of terms that are commonly used in the labelling industry (along with their definitions) so, if you come across any words that you haven’t heard before or don’t know the meaning of, you can pop along to our glossary to find a basic explanation of what they mean in relation to labels and labelling.
