Through Cut - What does through cut mean?
Answer:
In labelling, a die cutting operation that cuts a label shape through all of the layers in a label construction. This method of die cutting produces individual labels. Through cut labels are also known as anvil cut, blanked out, knock out, punched out, steel-to-steel, and zero tolerance labels; the die goes through all of the layers, so that the steel die touches the steel anvil roll (steel-to-steel, anvil cut) and the individual labels are knocked or punched out from the rest of the laminate.
