Opaque labels are the perfect way to cover up mistake or replace old text with something new.
Opaque labels are designed specifically to block out anything beneath them, so you can only see the label itself and anything that has been printed on it.
We have a range of opaque labels, which are made of matt white paper with an opaque or “blockout” backing that prevents anything from showing through the paper layer.
We sell this label in a variety of sizes – although we cannot do bespoke sizes – at a minimum order quantity of 500 sheets. You can see the available sizes on our Opaque Label Product Page.
As some customers only need a few labels and find that 500 sheets is just a bit too much, we do have a few alternative suggestions:
- If you’ve got a steady hand, you could simply try layering our standard labels until any existing print is no longer visible.
- Try our Gold or Silver labels; the particular finish of these labels creates an opaque or block out effect, so they will do the same job as our Opaque labels – albeit with a slightly more eye catching finish.
- As a compromise, you could try our Matt White Polyethylene labels; as this is a thicker material than standard paper it is more efficient at covering up existing print than a standard label. However, it isn’t a perfect solution and (depending on how bold the print beneath is) you may find that the print below is still slightly visible.
