Face Material - What does face material mean?
Answer:
This term refers both to any paper or other material (including films, fabrics, and foils) that can be converted and used to produce the top layer of a basic label construction, and to the top layer of a label construction as an entity in itself. Face materials may have a coating or coatings applied to alter their finish and to protect the material from damage during storage and end use. In a finished construction, the face material is bonded to a layer of adhesive and carried on a backing sheet.
