Polymer - What is a polymer?
Definition of POLYMER:
A polymer is a large molecule composed of long chains or rings of multiple, repeating units of monomers that have bonded together. Polymers can be natural (shellac, wool, silk, natural rubber) or synthetic (vinyl, polyester, polyethylene, polyolefin, silicone) In both cases, these materials have a broad range of properties that make them highly useful materials, including durability, elasticity, flexibility, and high boiling and melting temperatures.
