Plastic - What is plastic?
Answer:
Plastic is a general term that can be used to describe any synthetic material made from a wide range of organic polymers.
These materials are moulded into shape while soft (usually through the use of heat and/or pressure) before setting into a rigid or slightly elastic form. They have become an extremely popular material for use in a variety of applications due to their broad range of useful properties including durability, elasticity, flexibility, plasticity, and resistance to heat, water, organic solvents, oxidation, and ionizing raditation. They are also relatively easy and cost effective to manufacture.
Our label range features four plastic face materials; polyester, polyethylene, polyolefin, and polypropylene.
