We often get queries from customers who can't find the exact label size they want on our website.
Unfortunately, we do not do custom label sizes. All of our labels are STANDARD sizes that fit neatly onto A4 sheets; by this we mean that the sizes we offer are determined by the dimensions of an A4 sheet (210mm wide by 297mm high) and by the size and layout combinations that produce as little waste material as possible (“waste” material is any strips around the edges of the sheet and gaps between the labels that will never get used).
So, what can you do if the size you need isn’t listed on our website?
In this case you have a few options:
1. Find a label supplier who DOES supply the label size you need.
The best way to do this is to search for labels and include the measurements you require in your search terms – bear in mind that if you include exact measurements, this will exclude products that are only fractionally bigger or smaller. If you can compromise by a millimetre or two, try searching for those sizes too.
2. Find a label manufacturer who can produce the size you need as a bespoke order.
Label manufacturers will be able to produce labels in any size you require – but you will most likely end up paying more to purchase bespoke labels instead of a standard size. Manufacturers will often have high minimum order quantities and set up fees may be a part of the cost.
3. Find a label size on our website that is the closest to the measurements you require.
If the exact size you require isn’t available and you don’t have the funds for a bespoke purchase, the best thing to do is to see if there is an alternative size on our website that will do the job.
You can find the full list of sizes we offer on our website using our Label Finder. Take a look and see if there is a size that will do the job just as well as the exact measurements you have in mind.
4. Buy a full sheet and cut your labels down to size.
An alternative option is to purchase labels that are A4 in size and cut them down to the exact measurements you require – bear in mind that you will need to account for the time it will take to cut your labels to size, and this option is best for label applications that require a smaller quantity of labels (unless, of course, you have an army of helpers to help you cut your labels to size).
