Here's how to make sure your white labels are as white as possible!
We have a whole range of white labels in gloss (including GW, GWPQ, GWP) and matt (including STA, MPQ, MWP), which are varying degrees of “white” in themselves.
However, it is also worth pointing out that not all of our labels are opaque – in fact, none of our labels are truly opaque, apart from our opaque labels of course. An opaque label cannot be seen through, which means that our non-opaque labels CAN be seen through (to varying degrees). This means that whatever is underneath these labels (whether it’s the backing sheet or the surface they have been applied to) will be slightly visible through the label – which can influence how “white” the label looks.
If you want to see how white your white labels can be, you should peel one off the backing sheet (backing sheets are usually made of a different material to the label itself and may be off-white in colour) and stick it onto a white surface.
You can always improve the whiteness of a label by making sure that you stick it onto a white background OR you could try layering two white labels (one of top of the other) to create a white background for the top label (just make sure you have a steady hand and a lot of patience!).
